Using the place wire alias you can name a wire zero, or you can place a part that will do the same thing. Furthermore, A PSpice simulation will even calculate all the current, voltages and power values that you should expect from your circuit. Again, to simulate a schematic there needs to be a net named 0 (zero). Common mistakes like wires not connected correctly can be prevented by having a blueprint of the desired circuit, which can be achieved with OrCAD Capture. These are products from Cadence and are powerful tools that will help you prevent extensive troubleshooting once you have built you circuits or non-working circuits at all.

PSpice is a circuit simulator within OrCAD Capture that allows designing and simulating circuits before actually building them. Select the SOURCE Library and the 0 Symbol followed by OK. To add this ground, select the Place Ground tool by clicking on the 9 th button from the top on the vertical toolbar on the right side.

This tutorial assumes no previous knowledge on the concepts behind an Op-Amp and is just an example for the purposes of demonstrating the use of OrCAD Capture and PSpice. In order for PSpice to simulate your circuit, it must have a zero node for a ground. PSpice A/D Manual and Examples, Part 2 In this example we will simulate an inverting operational amplifier using one of the most common commercial operational amplifiers, the ♚741.

Using Schematics it is possible to design, draw and simulate circuits. Schematics is a front -end program with a direct interface to other PSpice programs and options. This Instructable was created in fulfillment of the required coursework for the course Communications for Engineers at the University of South Florida.
